WALT: recognise adjectives in our reading and use them in our writing.
Have a look at the fabulous description Lauren wrote about Mrs Kenyon. Look at all the adjective she used.
Mrs Kenyon is a fun, energetic teacher. With big, sparkling blue eyes and a tall, slim body. She has shining chocolate brown hair with highlights of yellow. Her voice is confident and cheerful. She has a beautiful silver locket around her long neck. Her jet black shoes gleam when you look at them. Her teeth are pure white.

I LOVE all the adjectives you have used to describe me Lauren. Thank you for saying such nice things about me. You definitely deserved "Work of the Week".
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous piece of descriptive writing Lauren. I think that if I didn't know Mrs Kenyon then I would still be able to get a very clear picture of what she looks like in my head, which is exactly the point of descriptive writing! I'm so impressed.
